Easy Wahoo Lure - Great Baitless Option
Our Easy Wahoo Lure is a simple to pull, mid-speed option. The foundation of this lure is a beautiful Jag lure, sizes range from 3 to 8 ounces. Beneath the Jag is a 9" skirt that contains a 3oz egg weight. We rig these on 6 feet of 1/16" 304 stainless steel cable with a breaking strength of 480 pounds. The front loop has chafe protection for long term use. Each stiff rig consists of a Epic Stainless Hook.
We love casting this lure and if you do troll, pulling this lure for Wahoo between 7 and 18 knots based on weight and presentation. This set-up removes the need to constantly check natural bait on the planer. This lure does not require a trolling weight, but you could use one if you'd like to get a little deeper on the lighter options. 3 solid color options are available. This is an affordable, easy to use right out of the box option for planer fishing.

Used these jigs this week and crushed the bonito on the east coast. This is a good bait to mimic the small bait fish in our area. Also great pack for a 2 pack. I bought a few different colors.

Purchased these and first trip out boated several very nice Hybrids. The fish were in 5-7lb range. The bait falls fast and the hooks are very sharp for solid hook ups. Glad I had an extra one because I gave it to my buddy in the boat and he immediately hooked up. These baits worked so well, I ordered several more. These lures catch fish. Surface or on down riggers, by far my most productive lure rigged with a ballyhoo!
Till now I've been using double barrel thick wall copper crimps - the short ones - I put 2 at each end of bite ldr. Yes aluminum is better against corrosion in saltwater but I think the double barrel gives a more uniform compression than these single barrel aluminum so as not to cause a weak point when crimping. Hope to find a double barrel version in long/aluminum.
