Trolling Weights - With or Without Shock Leaders
Custom rigged deep sea fishing trolling weights are a great way to present your bait deeper in the water column. This is important for catching hungry wahoo. We carefully rig our trolling weights on 36 inches of 304 stainless steel cable.
Because our cable breaks at 480lbs, you get a very strong product. In addition, we use chafe gear on both ends of the stainless loops, resulting in a more reliable product. It's important when buying offshore cigar weights to look for a loop on one end and a swivel on the other. If your weights have a swivel on both ends, you're going to have a swivel to swivel connection at some point. That doesn't make any sense, and means you've got extra metal in the water. We single crimp our connections because there is no need for double crimping. Double crimping puts additional metal in the water, and is unnecessary. Our swivels are not the usual garbage coast lock you'll find on a lot of trolling weights for wahoo. We use Epic 400lb ball bearing snap swivels on our trolling leads.
We sell shock leaders separately. Our shock leaders are 25 feet of 250lb or 400lb Momoi Smoke Blue Hi-Catch mono. We crimp a 250lb Epic ball bearing snap swivel to the business end, and a loop in the end that attaches to your trolling weight. All loops feature chafe gear.

Used this differently than its intended design. I made raft oars counter balances from them. Previously used steel 4lb mounted on the exterior near the grips. These I was able to install into the shaft and at 5lbs was able to get the weight away from the grips. Both oars took about 30 minutes. Another bonus is the seller got the weights to me in 4 days vice 12 Amazon predicted.
Used these jigs this week and crushed the bonito on the east coast. This is a good bait to mimic the small bait fish in our area. Also great pack for a 2 pack. I bought a few different colors.

Purchased these and first trip out boated several very nice Hybrids. The fish were in 5-7lb range. The bait falls fast and the hooks are very sharp for solid hook ups. Glad I had an extra one because I gave it to my buddy in the boat and he immediately hooked up. These baits worked so well, I ordered several more. I also referred several of my friends to the site to order this bait.

The product is exactly as described and just what I wanted.Unfortunately the product shipped to me was damaged, either in shipment or before - hard to say.The packing appeared adequate, as far as I could tell.This is a very heavy piece of metal and it's difficult to imagine how it could have been warped or bent in transit. My best guess is that it was a manufacturing defect which the packer failed to notice.UPDATE: Seller was civil and cooperative about the defect. Problem resolved. Would deal with seller again.
I am using these as weights in my grandfather clock and they work perfectly 😂. About 1/4 the price of clock weights and I think they look nice! Just research the model number on the back of your clock movement and find the correct weights for each.I could spray paint them brass but I am more of a silver person anyway.So glad I thought of this! Take that, capitalism.
