Mustad Tuna Circle Hook 2X - 39965

The Mustad 39965 Tuna Circle Hook is designed for kite fishing, drifting, and slow trolling with large live and dead baits. The 2X strength wire provides the backbone for tuna, swordfish, and other large pelagics. MVL-V1 needle point penetrates quickly as the fish turns away with the bait. The offset design improves hookup rates on large bait presentations. Oversized eye accepts heavy leaders and crimp sleeves. Nor-Tempered duratin finish provides corrosion resistance and easy sharpening. Seven sizes from 11/0 to 18/0 cover the largest circle hook applications in offshore fishing. Sold individually.

Perfect measurements and weight

Used this differently than its intended design. I made raft oars counter balances from them. Previously used steel 4lb mounted on the exterior near the grips. These I was able to install into the shaft and at 5lbs was able to get the weight away from the grips. Both oars took about 30 minutes. Another bonus is the seller got the weights to me in 4 days vice 12 Amazon predicted.

Purchased these and first trip out boated several very nice Hybrids. The fish were in 5-7lb range. The bait falls fast and the hooks are very sharp for solid hook ups. Glad I had an extra one because I gave it to my buddy in the boat and he immediately hooked up. These baits worked so well, I ordered several more.
