Perfect measurements and weight

Used this differently than its intended design. I made raft oars counter balances from them. Previously used steel 4lb mounted on the exterior near the grips. These I was able to install into the shaft and at 5lbs was able to get the weight away from the grips. Both oars took about 30 minutes. Another bonus is the seller got the weights to me in 4 days vice 12 Amazon predicted.

Awesome bait for Hybrid striped Bass.

Purchased these and first trip out boated several very nice Hybrids. The fish were in 5-7lb range. The bait falls fast and the hooks are very sharp for solid hook ups. Glad I had an extra one because I gave it to my buddy in the boat and he immediately hooked up. These baits worked so well, I ordered several more. Low Memory, High Stiffness

Stiff enough to hold lure position at 8+ knots, but low memory so it does not coil up in storage. Your leaders come off the spool straight and crimp clean without springing back. That saves time per rig versus fighting curly leader material.

How to Rig Momoi Extra Hard Mono Leader

1. Select the correct test weight for your target species

2. Cut leader to desired length (typically 6-15 feet for trolling)

3. Thread through a crimp sleeve and your lure head

4. Loop back through the crimp and compress with a crimping tool

5. Attach the other end to a snap swivel or wind-on connection

6. Test the crimp by pulling firmly before deploying

What is the difference between Momoi Extra Hard and Momoi Hi-Catch? +
Extra Hard has a stiffer, more abrasion-resistant coating. Hi-Catch is softer and better for general-purpose leaders. Use Extra Hard for lure rigging and Hi-Catch for bait rigs. We carry Momoi Hi-Catch if you need both.
What size should I use for wahoo? +
150-220lb test handles most wahoo. The hard finish resists their teeth better than any soft mono. Read our wahoo fishing guide for complete rigging specs.
Can I crimp this leader or should I use knots? +
Crimping is the standard for big game leader. The Extra Hard finish holds crimp sleeves without mushrooming. For lighter tests under 100lb, an Albright or uni knot also works. Our crimping guide covers both methods.
Is this leader good for live bait fishing? +
It works, but it is stiffer than ideal for live bait. Live baits swim more naturally on softer leader like Momoi Hi-Catch. Save the Extra Hard for lure rigging where stiffness is an advantage.
