100 Squid Without the Full-Size Drag

A full-size dredge with 100+ squid creates incredible bait presence but demands serious pulling power. The Compact Phat Squid Dredge fits 100 squid on a 28-inch bar instead of a 38-inch. Same bait count, smaller profile, easier to pull.

Center console anglers get the bait ball effect without needing a sportfisher's power. UV-enhanced squid are visible at depth. Built and rigged in the USA with quality hardware. At $349.99, this is the high-volume compact dredge option.

100 Squid, Compact Bar

Fitting 100 Phat Squid on a 28-inch bar gives you the bait volume of a full-size dredge in a compact footprint. Less drag, easier to pull, same visual impact to fish below.

UV-Enhanced Squid

UV enhancement makes the squid visible to fish at depth where standard colors fade. In blue water, UV is the difference between fish seeing your dredge and swimming past it.

Made in USA

Bar and dredge are built and rigged in North Carolina by Epic Fishing Co. Domestic 316 stainless bar, quality terminal tackle, and attention to detail you can verify.

How to Deploy a Dredge or Teaser

1. Attach the dredge or teaser to your pulling line via the main connection

2. Add a dredge weight if running sub-surface

3. Deploy at trolling speed, letting out line gradually

4. Adjust line length until the dredge tracks at the desired depth

5. Monitor for fish activity around the dredge on your sounder

6. Retrieve, rinse with fresh water, and store in a bag after fishing

Origin Made/rigged in USA
How do I deploy this? +
Attach to your pulling line or outrigger and deploy at trolling speed. Let out enough line to reach the desired depth behind the boat. See our dredge rigging guide.
What fish will this attract? +
Tuna (yellowfin, bluefin, blackfin), dolphin (mahi), wahoo, and billfish all respond to dredges and teasers. See our tuna guide and mahi guide.
What trolling speed? +
5 to 8 knots for most offshore trolling. Adjust speed until teasers are tracking correctly. See our trolling speed chart.
Do I need a dredge weight? +
For sub-surface dredges, yes. A weight keeps the dredge at the target depth. Our Epic Dredge Weights pair well with any dredge setup.
Can center console boats pull dredges? +
Yes. Compact dredges on 28-inch bars are specifically designed for center consoles. See our Fish Razr Pulling Kit for the complete deployment system.
What other dredge accessories do you carry? +
Dredge bars, weights, pulling kits, connector cables, storage bags, and replacement teasers. Browse our complete dredge and teaser collection.
