Jig Heads for Saltwater Fishing

Jig heads are the foundation of soft plastic fishing. The right head weight, hook size, and head shape determine how your soft bait moves through the water column — and whether fish eat it or ignore it.

We carry jig heads in a full range of weights and styles for inshore and nearshore saltwater applications. Round heads are the all-around standard. Flat or banana-style heads create a gliding action on the fall. Weedless designs let you fish heavy structure without constant snags.

Match your jig head weight to the current and depth you are fishing. Lighter heads (1/8 to 1/4 oz) work shallow flats and calm water. Heavier heads (3/8 to 1 oz) get down in current and deeper channels. Hook size should match your soft plastic — the point needs to ride at the right position for clean hooksets.

Pair quality jig heads with proven soft plastics for a versatile inshore setup that catches speckled trout, redfish, flounder, snook, and more. Fish them under a popping cork or bounce them along the bottom.

Perfect measurements and weight

Used this differently than its intended design. I made raft oars counter balances from them. Previously used steel 4lb mounted on the exterior near the grips. These I was able to install into the shaft and at 5lbs was able to get the weight away from the grips. Both oars took about 30 minutes. Another bonus is the seller got the weights to me in 4 days vice 12 Amazon predicted.

great bonito bait

Used these jigs this week and crushed the bonito on the east coast. This is a good bait to mimic the small bait fish in our area. Also great pack for a 2 pack. I bought a few different colors.

Awesome bait for Hybrid striped Bass.

Purchased these and first trip out boated several very nice Hybrids. The fish were in 5-7lb range. The bait falls fast and the hooks are very sharp for solid hook ups. Glad I had an extra one because I gave it to my buddy in the boat and he immediately hooked up. These baits worked so well, I ordered several more. I also referred several of my friends to the site to order this bait.
